Kozue is a Japanese photographer based in Seattle with more than 25 years of experience in photography. Trained in photography at the University of North Texas, she began her career in commercial and product photography and has worked across both Japan and the United States.
Her commercial photography experience includes projects for major retailers and brands such as Tokyu Hands, Kao, Marui, and AEON in Japan, as well as JCPenney and Neiman Marcus in the United States. These experiences gave her a strong foundation in product photography, visual presentation, studio production, and working collaboratively with brands and creative teams.
Today, her photography brings that commercial discipline together with a more personal and intuitive way of seeing. She is drawn to natural light, subtle details, people, products, and the atmosphere of a place — capturing images that feel authentic rather than overly staged.
At Made Between Markets, Kozue will photograph the people, products, businesses, and interactions that shape the event, documenting not only what is being presented, but also the small moments and connections happening around it. Selected images will also help participating businesses continue telling their stories through social media and other brand communications.
